We are happy to announce that the RVFP is the recipient of a grant from the Bank of Greene County! Many thanks!

We are very thankful to be receiving a grant from Hudson Valley Farm Fresh Food Fund of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley. The grant will be equally divided between our Summer Breakfast/Lunch Program and our Holiday Basket Program.

Thank you to the Stewarts Shops and their customers for their Holiday Match donation!! This donation will be used for the pantry's Summer Breakfast/Lunch Program, which provides additional breakfast and lunch food to the children of our clients at a time when free and reduced items are not available. We are very grateful!

We would like to thank the Youth Group of the Marbletown Reformed Church. During their PB& J & Tuna drive, they collected over 1,000 items for the RVFP!! What and amazing group of young people and what terrific support from the leaders and congregation!!

We would like to thank the Community Church of High Falls for making us the RVFP the recipient of their "Bring a Dime Every Time" campaign. We appreciate their generosity of the congregation!

A huge thank you to the Scouts and volunteers that participated in the "Scouting for Food" Drive. With your help 4,600 food items were brought in to the pantry!! We had 78+ volunteers who donated over 450 hours - an amazing effort (and a great crew to work with!)!

The Rondout Valley Education Foundation selected the RVFP Weekend Food Backpack program as their focus for #NY Gives day on November 29, 2016, as the program aligns with the goals of the foundation.
Thank you to everyone who shared donated to the program. We were able to raise over $3,000!!!

Thank you to the Stone Ridge Library for the Food for Fines program conducted from September 19th through September 30th. Patrons of the library were able to donate non-perishable food in lieu of fines for overdue books. As a result, 49 food items were donated to the Rondout Valley Food Pantry.

The Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation recently had the pleasure of awarding a $5,000 grant to the Rondout Valley Food Pantry in support of their “Weekend Food Backpacks for Children” program.  The following is a summary of the grant:

Purpose of grant:
The Charitable Foundation’s grant will provide two (2) days of food over each weekend for 20 students in the Rondout Valley School District during the 2016-2017 school year.  These students do not have access to the free and reduced-cost breakfast/lunch programs in their schools during their weekends, so this program allows them to have nutritious meals during those two days and return to school well-fed and ready to learn.  Their Food Backpacks go home with them each Friday, returned on the following Monday and then refilled on Thursdays.  Several local volunteers and Rondout Valley School District staff assist with this program and are a significant part of the program’s success.

Thank you Ulster Savings!
